Hind khoury, Palestinian Politician
The Pomegranate Project aims to be a resource to tell the stories of Palestine women who have pursued their dreams despite adversities and obstacles. Through the medium of video interviews.
Hind Koury: "I had never thought to be a politician or to be an important person but I like to do an important work.
I was the second woman in Palestine to have a high position after Zaheera Kamal, I was the minister of Jerusalem affairs. So I don’t want to say it was hard but it was a big challenge, because we are not in a normal situation. In my opinion Israel always tries to create crisis and when you have all these crises you will be stumbling in achieving your strategies. But I said I will work for people and if I accomplish I will know from their feed back"
The Pomegranate Project aims to be a resource to tell the stories of Palestine women who have pursued their dreams despite adversities and obstacles. Through the medium of video interviews, The Pomegranate Project gives voice to Palestinian women as they share their stories of what keeps them going, of the hardest decisions they have had to make, and how their work affects women and children in Palestine... In the hopes that these experiences may empower the lives of women everywhere to reach for their goals despite great obstacles."
